Background
I inherited a lovely but sweltering hoop house. Tomatoes scorched by noon, and I hated being inside. I mapped sun angles, raised vents, added a white shade, and tucked water barrels along the north wall. The space dropped ten degrees. My elderly neighbor started coming in at midday to prune.
Perspective
I favor passive ventilation, shading, and thermal mass over gadget-heavy solutions, and prioritize accessibility and maintenance ease.
